Marylot bridles

Biothane consists of a polyester webbing finished with a coating of polyurethane or PVC.
There are various finishes:
translucent: a glossy polyurethane coating that is translucent (see-through). This gives a slight fluorescent effect
opaque: a glossy polyurethane coating that is non-transparent
beta: a matte PVC coating, this is the softest and most supple coating
granite: a matte polyurethane coating of the hardest type; often too stiff for bridles, more commonly used for harnesses and stirrup leathers
Biothane® has been made in the USA since 1977 and has been used in equestrian sport for 50 years. The benefits? No maintenance, anti-bacterial, easy to clean, and water and weather have no effect on the suppleness of the material.

An overlay is an extra, narrower ‘layer’ of Biothane, usually in a contrasting colour, that is sewn onto the noseband and/or browband. Here you can see a padded noseband with an overlay on it.

This means that neoprene or PVC foam (formerly called open cell foam) is sewn underneath the noseband. Here you can see a padded noseband with PVC foam.

Yes, in principle we can make almost any model of bridle; just email us photos, sketches, and so on.

Stainless steel is silver-coloured and brass is gold-coloured. Stainless steel is stronger than brass; brass will break sooner in an emergency. Neither stainless steel nor brass rusts, but brass becomes dull over time.

Yes, you can. If you choose the basic size, you can specify any deviating measurements you need under special requests. Think for example of nose circumference, browband length (measured between the loops of the browband), and the distance from bit ring to bit ring.
Yes, there is a full 1-year warranty. If something breaks during that period, it will be repaired free of charge
(you only pay any shipping to our workshop). For stirrup leathers a 3-month warranty applies.
After the warranty period we carry out small repairs for the cost of materials and shipping; we normally do not charge for labour (with some exceptions).
